The Trauma Resolution Therapy Group employs Emily Ehrens, a licensed clinical therapist. She works with adults, teens, and people with dual diagnoses, specializing in mental health and addiction treatment. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Informed Therapy (TIT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Brief Psychotherapy are some of the excellent methods that Emily incorporates. By helping others rediscover what’s truly important to them, Emily hopes to pave the road to self-acceptance and the freedom to live a life that’s rich with joy and fulfillment.
After completing her clinical practicum in both inpatient and intensive outpatient settings, Emily earned a master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago with a specialty in mental health. Becoming a CADC has provided her with a unique perspective on behavioral therapy, coping mechanisms, and addiction.
Emily is deeply committed to being a catalyst for positive change in her clients’ lives by listening with empathy, providing comfort, and empowering them to discover purpose in the midst of adversity. Emily takes a person-centered, strengths-based approach to meeting their needs and achieving their goals. Emily creates a nurturing space where people can recover, heal, and learn to embrace themselves through her work.
